PLEASE permit me space in your letters column to publicly thank the Honourable Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Mr. Manniram Prashad and his able staff and members of the Guyana Tourism Authority for successfully organising the launching of my book ‘Genesis of the Pakaraima Mountain Safari’ which was held at the International Conference Centre on Friday 1 April, 2011. I express thanks also to Mr. Bobby Ramroop and printers of the Guyana Times for the technical and efficient service rendered in getting the book printed and published.
In addition, I felt humbled by the presence of His Excellency, President Bharrat Jagdeo, Honourable Prime Minister Samuel Hinds, Ministers of the Government, Members of Parliament, other State officials and the many distinguished invitees and guests for their participation.
