Mohamed fined $20,000 for using abusive language to wife

ASIF MOHAMED, 25 (no address given) appeared yesterday before Magistrate Sherdell Isaccs-Marcus, charged with  using  abusive language.
The defendant pleaded guilty with explanation to the charge against him, which stated that on April 3, at Uitvlugt Pasture, West Coast Demerara, he used  abusive language to his wife, Bibi Ameena Mohamed.

Police Sergeant Sherwin Matthews, prosecuting, read the facts of the charge, which related that on the day in question, the defendant returned home under the influence of alcohol uttered abusive language to the virtual complainant.
He was fined $20,000 and was placed on a bond for one year.
