I HAD a really good belly laugh this morning (yesterday), a good start for the week. The cause of such mirth?

The Chronicle headline: “Controversy surrounds election of Granger in wake of post-voting irregularities bicker”

It is well documented that the PNC were the architects of vote rigging in Guyana, which continued for twenty eight years so, in the words of that great bard, Shakespeare, they  are “Hoist with one’s own petard”, i.e., victims of their own machinations

Every PNC internal election has been fraught with accusations of rigging, which has caused many potential presidential candidates within that party to either join the AFC, or become virulent critics of their own party leaders, and I wonder how the other PNCR presidential hopefuls now feel, knowing they are victims of their own undemocratic behaviour.

As the old saying goes, “what goes round comes round”.
