VISHAL Singh, 18, and Shakira Issacs, both of Zeelugt, West Coast Demerara, both pleaded not guilty after being charged with larceny from a dwelling house before Magistrate Nyasha Williams-Hatmin. The charge stated between January 26 and 28, the defendants removed from the residence of Hubert Singh a quantity of gold jewelry valued at $614,000.
The court was told that the defendants are known to the virtual complainant and they were residing at his home.
It was further mentioned to the court that no recovery of the stolen articles was made.
The defendants were placed on $40,000 bail each and will return to court until March 24.
