CECILE Trotman (no address given) has been charged with shoplifting. She appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday and pleaded guilty to simple larceny. The convict admitted that the day before, she stole 17 pairs of panties valued $4,900, property of Ashmin’s Trading.
She told the Court that she stole the underwear for her children, and the magistrate ordered a probation report on her background, pending sentence on February 11.
Meantime, Trotman is on $5,000 bail.
