…she flew through the window as the two vehicles collided
A 35-year-old mother of three is now dead and her husband and their six-year-old son are in the Georgetown Public Hospital, both suffering fractured necks, following an accident at the corner of Lance Gibbs and Oronoque Streets, Queenstown early Saturday morning.
Dead is 35-year-old Beverly Alicia Denny of 78 Castello Housing Scheme, North East La Penitence.
Those hospitalised are her husband, Walter Denny, an employee of Digicel, and their youngest of three children, six-year-old Stephon. The other two are Shane 11, who suffered minor injuries, and Selena 9 who suffered injuries to her left hand. Tragedy struck around 8:00hrs, when the family bus, driven by Walter, collided with a yellow taxi-cab. At the time all five members of the family were travelling in the bus which was taking the eldest child, Shane Anthony to lessons in Alberttown.
Eye-witnesses say that the dead woman was sent flying through the window when the vehicles collided.
Denny is also survived by her father, Leslie Harlequin, brother Michael and several other siblings.
