LINDEN Saunders and Okera Granion (no addresses given) were remanded to prison, by Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday, on drug charges. The duo pleaded not guilty to having, on January 10, at Swan, along Soesdyke/Linden Highway, cultivated the prohibited plant cannabis (marijuana).
Granion is also charged with being in possession of 1.398 kilogrammes of the narcotic.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, said the defendants were arrested during a Police campaign and the marijuana was found in the camp that Granion occupied.
Their cases were transferred to another Court for January 17.
