MYO/Trophy Stall Inter-Jamaat Tapeball …

Defending champions stop Grove Falcons  
THE Muslim Youth Organisation of Guyana (MYO)-organised, Trophy Stall-sponsored Inter-Jamaat 10 overs-a-side tapeball round-robin cricket competition got under way last Saturday at the MYO ground, with defending champions Enmore defeating Grove Falcons.
Batting first, Grove Falcons amassed 71 before they were bowled out in the final over, with Salman Ghanie making a top score of 12 (1×6).

Reaz Yacoob and Yuvraj Ali took three wickets each for 13 and 17 runs respectively, while Ameer Khan took 2-9 for Enmore who reached 73-7 in reply, thanks to Khan’s 18 (1×4, 1×6), while Ahmad Nizamudeen (4-8) and Shafeek Ishmael with 2-14 tried to keep Grove Falcons in the fray.
In the other match, Farm made easy work of Mocha Arcadia whom they defeated by 53 runs in their matchup at the same venue.
Farm batted first and made 95 for 5 from their 10 overs, with Ricky Sargan making an unbeaten 31 and was supported by Yunus Mohamed who was also unbeaten on 11 when the overs expired.
Bowling for Mocha Arcadia, Tariq Cave picked up 3 for 21 runs, but they failed badly with the bat and were reduced to 42-9 at the end of their 10 overs, with Cave returning to top score with 9, as Budhan Baksh and Vishaul Beharry took three wickets each for 8 and 6 runs respectively and Sargan two.
In the other match of the day, New Mosque got a walkover from Lusignan, while all matches that were scheduled for Sunday were washed out due to heavy overnight rain.
