–  Court told
BUS driver Gavin Major, 32, of Lot 11 Charlotte Street, Georgetown, has been charged with damaging property and using threatening language.
He appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday,
and pleaded not guilty to having unlawfully and maliciously damaged a video camera, valued $120,000, property of Adonika Shaw and using threats to the woman.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, said the defendant and virtual complainant are known to each other and the latter was visiting her friend who lives in the same building as the former.
The prosecutor said Shaw was video recording a fight between Major and another person in the yard when Major became annoyed and threw a bottle at her which hit the camera.
Major was put on $40,000 bail for the damage to property charge and ordered to lodge $10,000 surety in the other case, until January 10.
