POLICE are investigating an armed robbery that took place at Sparendaam Squatting Area, East Coast Demerara, where a businessman was the victim on Monday night.
The Police said it happened about 20:15 hrs when Clifford Zammett, 56, of Sparendaam Squatting Area, was standing in front of his business place.
He was held at gunpoint by one of his three attackers, who stole a laptop computer, a magic jack, an Ipod and $4,000 before escaping.
Zammett was assaulted about his body with the firearm and had to receive medical treatment at a city hospital, the Police report said.
