THERE is a heightened police presence in the streets for the Christmas holidays, and in order to effectively keep crime under control at this time, the Police Force is leaving nothing to chance. Security has been noticeably beefed up in the streets, with the deployment of a network of ranks at strategic points in the city, assuming a rather intimidating presence.
