Particulars of the offence said that around 05:00 hrs on Sunday morning, at Buddy’s Night Club compound, they had several illegal explosives and caused public terror.
Each of the defendants was put on $50,000 bail and the case will be called again, on January 7, 2011.
The sound of rapid explosions ripped through the silence of the Campbellville Ward early Sunday morning and disturbed the peace and quiet of sleeping residents.
The explosive sounds stirred residents from their beds, many fearing gunfire and called police to investigate.
Reports said the fireworks were initiated by a group celebrating the 50th birthday of a prominent businessman at Buddy’s Night Club.
However, when the Police arrived on the scene, many of the celebrants scampered to their vehicles, leaving behind several boxes of the firecrackers similar to those used by the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) but not permitted for civilian use.
