MICHAEL Persaud (no address given) was remanded to prison, when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday, on a simple larceny charge.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, last November 28, he stole a pair of motor car fog lamps, valued $30,000, property of Mark Garnett.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, successfully objected to bail for Persaud, on the ground that he has a pending case, of a similar nature, in another Court.
The virtual complainant said he had parked his vehicle and gone somewhere else but returned to find the defendant committing the crime.
Persaud has to make another Court appearance on December 13.
