REFERENCE is made to an article in the Kaieteur News Saturday edition dated November 13, 2010 captioned “Contractors abandon $6M Good Hope Bridge” pg 11, and I wish to state categorically that at no time my company, Errol Cush Construction Service, nor I, as an individual, was offered nor participated in the construction of the bridge at Good Hope. However, my dragline was rented by the contactor to effect work at that site and some workers, who are normally in my employ, were given leave to lend their expertise towards the project.
It must be noted that the project has no administrative connection to my company save for the payments of a rented piece of construction equipment (the dragline).
The magnitude of such statement should have been verified for correctness and truthfulness by contacting the persons or agencies concerned. To have associated my company or I, in a negative way, with a front page picture and a story of the one mentioned, is totally unwholesome to which I seriously take umbrage!
Kindly seek to have this matter corrected with some urgency as my company’s reputation is being besmirched.
