ACTING Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday refused bail to accused drug trafficker Orin Marshall. The defendant, of Lot 429 West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty of being in possession of 20 grammes cannabis (marijuana) for the purpose, on October 29.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, said the remanded prison was walking on a street when ranks, who were conducting a raid, called him and, before he approached one of them, he threw a plastic bag in a nearby trench.
Marshall has to be back in Court on November 8.
