Ban all ferocious dogs
Guyana Chronicle: “Vicious dogs attack Vic Insanally” Dated October 27.2010.
Pat Insanally’s suggestions for avoidance of dog attacks:
l. Never walk in short pants

2.  Always walk with a stick or some other repellant

3.  If attacked, pretend to be dead

4.  Do not expect anyone to hear you, see you, nor help you.

The last is obviously Patricia Insanally’s bitterness at the callous attitude of bystanders who stood by unconcernedly while her husband was nearly mauled to death.

Mrs. Insanally is blaming the wrong people and suggesting the wrong things on what people should do to avoid being attacked by vicious dogs. Blame must be laid squarely at those who are in authority.
They are the ones who have the power and authority to stop this madness.
Why won’t they stop it many had asked?
Those who are in authority are well protected where they do not have to walk the streets alone.
Guyana is a very hot country and one must wear what they are comfortable with including short pants and skirts.
Can you imagine almost everyone walking with a stick in the streets of Guyana? That’s asking for even bigger trouble.
No human can act as being dead when attacked by any animal or even being attacked by humans.
The only real help one expects is from those in authority with the power to put a full stop to this madness.
I once again call on those in authority to place a ban on all large ferocious dogs all across Guyana.
How many more must suffer and possibly die before a complete ban is put in place by those in authority to do so?
