25-yr-old killed in motorcycle crash

ROBIN Ali, 25, of L Barclay Street, Goed Fortuin, West Coast Demerara, and of Providence, East Bank Demerara, was killed early yesterday when he lost control of the CBR motorcycle he was driving on Houston Public Road, East Bank Demerara. The father of two was returning home when he failed to negotiate a turn and slammed into a utility pole.
On impact, the CBR handle broke and Ali was pitched from the machine and broke his neck.
At his home yesterday, his wife, Marilyn Ali, told the Guyana Chronicle that she last spoke to her husband at about 00:30hrs on Sunday. The grieving woman said Ali went to the “All Black Party” at the Pegasus earlier and then to Jerries and was on his way home when he was killed.
[The mangled motorcycle yesterday morning after the accident.] The couple was married four years ago and there are two children, Randy, five years, and Maria, two weeks old.
Relatives said the CBR he was riding is his second motorcycle, and he had an accident before. But he liked motorcycles.
