Is Freddie now seeing the light?

I have long been convinced that, in his attempt to be a contrarian, Kaieteur News columnist Freddie Kissoon conveniently forgets what he writes from day to day. In an article in the Kaieteur News  of August 16, 2010, under the caption “The election is on and true colours are being shown” Kissoon questioned the integrity of a number of people including this writer for stating that the PPP is likely to win the national elections due in 2011.
With regards to eminent Caribbean journalist Rickey Singh, Kissoon wrote “Mr. Singh has returned to his servile occupation. His recent re-entry to political commentary is to look at the confusion that currently grips the opposition parties”, and in relation to me, he wrote ” Writing in a Stabroek News corner with the name, “In the Diaspora”, Hergash did a two part series a month ago in which he dealt chiefly with the weaknesses of the opposition and proclaimed victory for the PPP next year”.
Well, I now wonder if this is the same Freddie Kissoon who wrote the Kaieteur News article of October 16, 2010 under the caption “The “masturbation” goes on”. In this most recent article, exactly two months later, Kissoon writes “In Guyana, people are so mentally perplexed at the masturbatory display of the opposition parties in Parliament that by some weird logic they may end up seeing the ruling oligarchy as more logical than their competitors and may very well vote for another term for the PPP….We may have a situation on our hand next year where there may be a gargantuan abstention at the polls, a process that will devastate the opposition and give the incumbent maybe over 90 percent of the votes cast”.
Mr. Kissoon should tell his readers if he too is now showing his “true colours” in predicting a likely PPP victory or whether the fog that blinded him all along has cleared and he is now seeing the light.
