St. Mary’s High rewards top Sport performers

St. Mary’s High School rewarded high performers at the school’s Annual Inter-house Athletics events yesterday. Social Studies teacher Ryan Wilson receives award on behalf of ‘A’ house from another staffer yesterday.  Principal of the school, Ms. Roxanne Lewi, remarked that it is the first time that students of the school were being rewarded for sports. Continuing, she reminded the students that success can only be achieved with discipline.
The winners corresponded alphabetically, with ‘A’ house taking first place with 490 points, ‘B’ house 468 points, ‘C’ house 290 points and ‘D’ house 289 points.
Certificates  were awarded to boys and girls  in the following categories: 3000 metres under 18, 1500 meters under 14, 1500 meters under 16, 400 metres under 12, 800 metres under 14, 800 metres under 16, 800 under 18, 100 metres  under 14  and  100 metres under 16.
