POLICE Commissioner Henry Greene disclosed yesterday that ex-policeman Lloyd Roberts, who was wanted, had surrendered himself for questioning about the Cummings Lodge slaughter of five persons.
He was not sure if the man was still being held yesterday but maintained that the shooting of the victims was drug related and investigations are continuing.
Greene said Roberts turned himself in after seeing his photograph in newspapers but the Police did not issue a wanted bulletin for him.
Roberts had been arrested in Suriname, several years ago, with convicted drug trafficker Roger Khan, who is now serving prison time in the United States (U.S.) and some other men.
Steve Jupiter, Christopher Gordon alias ‘Bigga’, Sherwin Jerome nicknamed ‘Dice Head’, Fiona Singh, Christopher Jupiter and Steve Jupiter called ‘Steve Man’ were fatally shot while they were in motor car PLL 2297 on September 4.
