Security guard remanded on larceny charge

FORMER security guard at Gizmos and Gadgets, Carlos Farrell, appeared Wednesday before Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton charged with simple larceny and was remanded to prison.
Farrell (no address given), was not required to plead to the charge that said, on August 21 last, he stole four digital cameras, one memory card, a cell phone battery, and other articles, all valued $301,442,
belonging to Gizmos and Gadgets.
Human Resource Manager, Mr. Hubert Sampson, appeared on behalf of the store and Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, objected to bail for Farrell.
The accused, who was allegedly caught on camera while carrying out the act, will remain in prison until September 30.
