Give criminals a choice

ROBBERIES being committed on mining camps by armed gangs, like the five suspects who were captured in Aranka, are believed to be linked to the rising price of gold; while there are several other gangs operating on the coast, according to Police Commissioner Henry Greene.
The captured gang – one member from Victoria, three from Ann’s Grove and one from Meadow Brook, went up to Aranka with the expressed purpose of robbing Brazilians. Three of them have confessed to committing the crimes and they have implicated the remaining two, including a woman.

Greene said no arms or ammunition has been found in the possession of the suspects, leading investigators to believe that the robbers might have borrowed or rented weapons.
Mr. Greene and those in authority, why is it so hard to put these criminals  away for good, once it is a known fact that these were the gang members who carried out the robberies; and once it has become clear that either the arms and/or ammo were rented/ borrowed or hidden?
Why not ensure that these gang members you have in the lock-ups never get the chance to use these arms and ammo ever again in their lives?
The only plea deal these criminals must have is very simple.
Either they reveal where the arms and ammos are, who they rented/borrowed it from, and face a jail term of no less than fifty years behind bars for armed robberies.
If they refuse to talk then it must be life behind bars with no chance of parole.
Sir, since the facts speak for themselves then there is no other way to slow these criminals down and give the innocent citizens a chance to live their lives in peace and tranquility.
The high price of gold, nor Jamzone, has absolutely nothing to do with parasites that roam the corridors of Guyana to prey on unsuspecting and innocent citizens.
Sir, who would like to know that they work hard and honestly and make sacrifices all the days of their lives  to make life better for themselves and families and in the blink of an eye these parasites come along and take it all from you, maybe killing or injuring you or a loved one in the process?
Please be reminded that not all citizens of the country have the same protection like those in authority, so they need enforcement of the law to deter criminals.
Security is the vast difference between those in authority and the unsuspecting innocent citizens, so please give criminals that choice now or their predatory and murderous activities will never end and the innocent will continue to be robbed and/or slaughtered.
