The police are conducting investigations into an armed robbery committed on a female gold miner of Bombay Terrace, Prashad Nagar, around 14:15 h yesterday. According to a Police report, the businesswoman, Rosemary Evans, was attacked and robbed as she was about to enter her premises, by two men, one of whom was armed with a gun.
Investigations revealed Evans was confronted by the armed man who was on a motor cycle driven by an accomplice.
The armed bandit discharged a round into the air and took away the victim’s bag which reportedly contained $3M cash and a quantity of raw gold.
The woman reportedly dropped the bag while seeking cover following the gunfire.
Two spent shells were recovered at the scene of the crime.
