IT is with sadness I read two newspapers publication of July 20 on Leon Jameson Suseran latest experience with the above caption.  He spoke of another person who spoke earlier last week on the issue, and I believe he was talking of the lady criticizing the lyrics permitted in the chutney songs, especially the Trinidad Chutney songs and the lousy dance hall noise, called music. I have expressed numerous complaints to the police, even action in the courts against Starlite Drive In cinema owner.  It is obvious that this man cares only of the fat fees he makes, and cannot see wisdom in silence, and reorganizing his valuable spot for another noiseless business, such a wonderful housing area for Diplomatic Residences.  So sad he cannot accept my invitation to visit with his studying child to spend time at my residence when the dirty shows are on, so his child would see the shows her father allows to permeate peoples home, and infect people’s children and affect their studies, at the same time creating havoc in the lives of ill people.
Yet the authorities still provide permits for numerous shows in one month.  How can children excel?  Why are children under ten free? It is obviously to infect and contaminate their minds with the usual Trinidadian half naked gyrations and whines, with vulgar jokes and lyrics.  Trinidad has fallen and keeps falling, they want to destroy Guyana.  They singing about PUNCHIN, a hard high wine in Trinidad, and making it look as if it is so good, that stupid Guyanese are now asking for it to come from Trinidad, as if we do not have enough alcoholic poison in Guyana.  Maybe they should mix mentholated spirit and drink, for they are similar.  The authorities who provide these permits are answerable and responsible for the lawlessness in society for they are not listening to the voices of the people.
Also many prosecutors sell out cases according to respectable people I know, who are afraid to come forward.  In my complaint and subsequent charge by the police of a person, being tried at the Sparendaam Court, that Prosecutor has been most professional.  What amazes me is how people can act and fool magistrates, despite their professionalism, people lie and pretend to be sick, taking advantage of an illness to mislead justice, thereby abusing the courts. I was recently mocked by such a person in a matter,

Whose matter was postponed for several months and should have won the academy awards for acting.
Even though some police will expose complainants, especially in Berbice, the people must be fearless and take to the streets and demand action and charges against those offenders.  It is a crime to be disturbing people beyond the decibel allowed by the Standards Bureau and beyond 12 midnight.
Request the EPA to monitor shows, invite prominent citizens to your home, take affidavits, and file group action, and also provide statements to the Police.  This is how I got police action in the lower East Coast.  Be fearless, right will always be right, and evil can never prosper, and any sword they form against the righteous cannot prosper.  Do not sit and take it people, complain, lament and demand. I have an injunction, even though this guy shows enormous bravado by disrespecting and mocking the court, the judiciary and the judges, one day they will awaken.  I, in association with the residents have a Contempt Action, yet he continues with the dirty noise.
The noise makers make their monies and go home, and leave peoples’ lives and health in anguish and torment.  Students are failing enormously and they asking why?  Accidents result from tired drivers, and they are wondering why?  People cannot produce and they are asking why?  Is the PUNCHIN, DE PUNCHIN and the noise.  How stupid some Guyanese can be and some leaders too.
Guyanese need to come together and boycott all these nasty shows, and make it unprofitable for the promoters, so they will desist.  Imagine, four shows at one place in one month, we in Atlantic Gardens not entitled to rest.  Are we not entitled to peace and quiet in our life?  Several families had their children parties and families get together destroyed because of the vulgar shows at an entertainment spot. Imagine at times two shows in one weekend.  Another on July 24.  The magistrate who approves must have a problem.
The people want the government to not allow shows with vulgar or violent language.  At one entertainment spot, a Trinidadian was singing calling for legalisation of dope.  Yes and our beloved police were there.  Is it not a crime to smoke dope, sell dope and encourage the smoking of it?  The owner of the entertainment spot mocks me saying the police is there why do they not stop the show; why do they not charge the people with the dope song or dirty jokes?  Mr. Lakeraj was the only Commander on the East Coast Demerara who ever took serious action against noise makers, wherever they were, even discos and rum shops, restaurants or anywhere! The citizens of East Coast sing his praises. It would be remiss of me if I do not recognise Asst Commissioner Balram Persaud, who saw that a certain individual was charged by the Police.  The EPA recorded noise three times that was allowed, yet one promoter tells me the charge is ‘JOKEY!!!’  Unless people respect the law, and fear it when they abuse it, we are in trouble.
I see some of the young female magistrates taking matters such as this seriously. My advice is that they never forgot that in the not too distant past they were students, and as such realise how noise affected them. They must be fair and fearless; regardless of the power lawyers they hire, or the political clout and baton some say they have.  One noise maker in the lower EC told me that:  Roshan you are too few.  Such power they believe they have, but the longest road has an end, as the longest rope, and with the rope those who take advantage sometimes hang themselves.
Bro Leon, I hear you and sympathise with you.  My daughter attend UG too and have headaches at nights and cannot study, and unable to complete assignments or having to write exams with migraines.  My mother– in-law is ill with hypertension and heart ailment, but a certain individual tells everyone that he has a heart problem and cannot stand trial, but the same weekend he rents his place again, with noise with a vengeance, and the next day he is flying north, leaving us ill.  My 12-year old son is badly affected and cries out for headaches and cannot sleep.
Also I ask why all the jokes by our local JUMBIE has to do with ‘fagotism” and tells only of homosexuality, even encouraging it people say.  He is a nice person and actor, but please Guyanese brother do not go to the excess, please, Guyana is your country.
