Great things expected from Canada-based Guyanese athlete

CANADA, you are now home to an aspiring athletic ambassador born and bred from Guyana and it is very much expected that he will someday be shouldering your flag in and out of Canada at meetings. Who knows, he could become a world or Olympic medalist. I make reference to “Noel Massiah” who just clocked 1 minute 4 seconds in the 400 m and got the gold at the recent Toronto District School Board, City Wide Track & Field meeting held at the Birchmount Stadium, Scarborough.
This information was extracted from a KN report dated July 21, 2010.
I am certain that Canada is home to some of the best training facilities and coaches and hopes that the aspiring athlete can come by a scholarship at some stage and make all of us very proud. Very importantly, quite a lot will have to be given to Canada in the long run and hope a little is given or set aside for the Golden Arrowhead.
The Guyanese community in Canada has now got a responsibility to lend whatever support is available because one of our own is now in their backyard with dreams that we will someday be delighted with.
