CLIFTON Dowding, 38, who faced a vagrancy charge before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson yesterday, was granted self-bail until his August 30 trial.
He pleaded not guilty to having been found wandering, on July 18, in a yard without permission from the owner and no proper explanation for his presence there.
Dowding, of Sophia, Greater Georgetown, claimed he lost his motorcycle and was on his way to the Police Station when ranks arrested and accused him of being a vagrant.
Police Inspector Stephan Telford, prosecuting, told the Court the defendant went into a bathroom in the yard and the virtual complainant saw him turn on the shower and begin to bathe.
