Put Ram under the microscope

FINANCE Minister, Dr. Ashni Singh, is dead right about Christopher Ram in his response published by the Guyana Chronicle yesterday.
Ram is no objective commentator and it is patently clear that his commentaries are “driven by a narrow political and personal agenda”, as the minister states.

Any objective observer would readily agree that Ram has political and personal agendas and his track record should be put under the microscope since he has been parading as a political commentator.
It should be interesting to see how he responds to Minister Singh who raised several critical questions in his statement.
Minister Singh put it very nicely: “His attempts at self-aggrandisement on account of tendering advice to me and the President are therefore laughable, even if not entirely surprising, given his widely known reputation as a person who suffers a compulsive need to prove himself better than everyone else.”
The minister added, “Mr. Ram seems to suffer a chronic superiority complex.”
This correctly puts into perspective a man who has been critical of the government’s Low Carbon Development Strategy, the Amaila Falls hydro-electricity project and so many other laudable initiatives.
