‘Cobra’ wanted for January murder of Davendra Bholanauth

–   Police Commissioner
POLICE Commissioner Henry Greene said, Wednesday, Tyrone Rowe alias ‘Cobra’ is wanted for the murder of Davendra Bholanauth, 33, proprietor of Ezee Runnings Taxi Service.
The victim was shot and killed, at his Sheriff Street, Georgetown base, last January 27 during a robbery there.
Two bandits had entered the place and ordered Bholanauth to hand over a laptop computer before shooting him at close range and escaping in a waiting car around 20:30 h.
Greene said the Guyana Police Force (GPF) issued a bulletin for Rowe  without his photograph because none was in its possession.
But the Police know, through informants, who they are looking for, the Commissioner maintained Wednesday.
The bulletin said Rowe is 19 years old, of medium build, dark in complexion and last lived at Independence Boulevard, Albouystown, Georgetown.
The Police asked anyone with information that may lead to his arrest to telephone numbers 225-6411, 226-7065, 226-1326, 225-6941, 911 or contact the nearest station, with the assurance of strict confidentiality.
Greene told reporters the fugitive was seen on Sunday and Police went to the area where they were fired at by 17-year-old Osafi Johnson, who was running with Rowe.
Greene said the Police returned fire, injured Johnson and recovered an unlicensed gun and ammunition.
Johnson remained a patient at Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) up to yesterday, nursing a gunshot wound in the back and his condition is listed as stable but critical.
