Murder accused suspected to be of unsound mind

-to be observed by two competent psychiatrists
MURDER accused Kenrick Heywood, who appeared not to be able to give his counsel, Peter Hugh, proper instructions, has been further remanded to  prison with instructions from Justice Roxanne George that he be observed by two competent psychiatrists.

The psychiatrists will report at the October sessions when a special jury will be selected to determine whether the accused was feigning insanity or was insane and unfit to stand trial.
When the matter was called up yesterday, the judge was told that the accused was facing two indictments, one for murder and the other for malicious damage to property.
While the judge was listening to the complaints from the defence counsel, the accused was sitting in the dock and swaying from side to side.
Prosecutor Miss Rhondel Weever assured the court that the prison authorities will do their best to ensure that the judge’s order is carried out.
