Aamer inspires Pakistan with five for 54

FAST bowling sensation Mohammad Aamer took five wickets to give Pakistan the upper hand in their tour match against Kent at Canterbury. Aamer finished with five for 54 from 13 overs in a spell which ripped through the Kent top order in ruthless fashion.
Azhar Mahmood’s side were left reeling by the seamer’s pacy performance, but 59 from James Goodman saw them recover to post 259 from their first innings.
In reply, Pakistan were 86 for one at the close with Umar Amin looking ominous on 42 not out alongside Fawad Alam (29).
Destructive opener Salman Butt did not fire in the tourists’ second innings after Mahmood trapped him lbw for nine.
Shahid Afridi’s side will be looking to use the third and final day to give their batsmen match practice, while Kent will be desperate to take quick wickets in the morning. (Eurosport)
