Crandon, Bishoo and Pooran to lead teams

THE GUYANA Cricket Board (GCB) organised DIGICEL-sponsored countrywide Twenty20 tournament bowls off today and the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) has named three teams which will battle each other in a round robin playoff, with the top two teams advancing to represent the county in the national playoffs.
National and West Indies limited overs player Royston Crandon, along with his national teammates, right-arm leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo and middle-order batsman Homchand Pooran, will lead the three teams.
Two matches would be played today and one tomorrow and all players are asked to be at the Port Mourant Cricket Ground at 08:15 h to facilitate a prompt start.
Some of the top names to appear in these matches are former West Indies opener Sewnarine Chattergoon, Richard Ramdeen, Esaun Crandon, Rajiv Ivan, Renwick Batson, Jonathan Foo, Delbert Hicks and Ranga Latchana.
Guyana/Stanford 20/20 player Imran Khan along with Guyana and West Indies Under-19 fast bowler Keon Joseph, Harrinarine Chattergoon, former national Under-19 skipper Anthony Bramble, Shastri Persaud, Michael Newland and the hard-hitting Keith Joseph are all set to compete.

Royston Crandon Team: Sewnarine Chattergoon, Richard Ramdeen, Royston Crandon (captain), Rajiv Ivan, Raid Ally, Videsh Singh, Jason Sinclair, Sherwin Murray, Steven Latcha, Gudakesh Motie-Kanhai, Kevin Ramdeen, Sasenarine Sookdeo, Yogeshwar Harrinarine, Keyron Fraser and Esaun Crandon.
Devendra Bishoo Team: Romain Boodram, Devon Clements, Renwick Batson, Ranga Latchana, Imran Khan, Jonathan Foo, Delbert Hicks, Mankarran Singh, Devendra Bishoo (captain), Krisendat Ramoo, Shailendra Shameer, Eon Gibson, Keon Joseph, Eon Abel and Kwesi Mentore.
Homchand Pooran Team: Shaffeek Khan, Harrinarine Chattergoon, Keith Fraser, Anthony D’Andrade, Homchand Pooran (captain), Eon Hooper, Anthony Bramble, Davendra Thakurdeen, Troy Matheison, Leroy Bristol, Shastri Persaud, Michael Newland, Kelon Henry, Peter Grimes and Moshin Peerkhan.
