DEOCHAND Ramlochan nicknamed ‘Buck Man’, 55, collapsed and died at his La Belle Alliance home on the Essequibo Coast, last Monday afternoon.
He had returned home from work around 13:00 h and taken a bath. His wife, Daywattie said she was downstairs in their two-storey house when she heard like something falling in the upper flat of the building.
She said she did not investigate the sound immediately but, when she called for her husband, there was no answer.
That caused her to quickly rush upstairs where she found him on the floor frothing from the mouth.
The woman said she shook him but got no response and shouted for her neighbours.
Ramlochan was employed in the Regional Drainage and Irrigation Department as a security checker and also served in the Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam) Regional Administration as Housing Officer and as an officer in the Lands and Surveys Department for several years.
Ramlochan, who is also survived by four children, was the brother-in-law of Regional Vice-Chairman, Mr. Vishnu Samaroo. (Rajendra Prabhulall)
