I did not read anywhere in the papers that our government and even opposition parties had congratulated Kamla Persad-Bissessar on her recent historic electoral triumph in the Twin Island Republic.  Did I miss this or indeed this was not done?
I am concerned about this since Trinidad is the ‘Economic Powerhouse” in the Caribbean and due regard should be paid not to mention the accepted protocol when new leaders take office.
