25-yr-old Wisroc resident dies in accident on Soesdyke/Linden highway

THE police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 22:30 hrs on Wednesday night  at Silver Hill, Soesdyke/Linden Highway, which resulted in the death of Damion Lindore, 25, of Wisroc Housing Scheme, Linden.
Investigations revealed that  Lindore, also known as ‘Pointer’,
was driving motor car, HB 8153, with passenger Kemal McCalmon, 25, also of Wisroc, when he lost control of the vehicle which turned turtle several times.
Both occupants received injuries and were taken to the McKenzie Hospital, where Lindore was pronounced dead on arrival, while McCalmon has been admitted for medical treatment.

Reports are that the vehicle Lindore was driving collided with ‘a stray dog’ which was in his path as he was approaching Silverhill, heading towards Georgetown. The dog was killed instantly and was seen some 100 yards from where the accident occurred.

The accident was reportedly witnessed by a resident of Silverhill, Granville Gill, who said he was sitting in front of his shop when he noticed a black car moving at a fast rate heading to the City.  He said “by the time it fly past me, about a second after, I heard  Bladam! So I see this car knock something down and it start topplin’ over de road.”
The police was summoned to the scene and they are continuing their investigations into the accident.
