T&T's Moosai is number four team for DJ Stress T20

TRINIDAD and Tobago’s (T&T) Moosai Sports Club is the number four team to contest the DJ Stress 2020 Festival at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, on Sunday July 4.
Playing under the sponsorship of Digicom here in Guyana and under the name Digicom Moosai Tigers,
they will be contending for the top prize which is still unknown against double defending champions Hotel Tower New Line Cavaliers, Gizmos and Gadgets Georgetown Pitbulls and Universal DVD Club’s Berbice Titans.
As a strong show of support to their favourite teams, T20 fans who are expected to flock the venue for this gala affair are asked to wear the respective colour of their favourite team.
For Hotel Tower NLC, the colour is blue, Gizmos and Gadgets Pitbulls (green), Universal DVD Club Berbice Titans (orange) and Digicom Moosai Tigers (yellow) and with the following day being a national holiday (Caricom Day,) a packed venue is anticipated.
All coloured clothing for the matches will be provided at a special discount from Rossi Sports in Trinidad, while Gizmos and Gadgets Superstore will also provide the fans with whistles and other free gifts.
Unlike the previous two tournaments held last year, this year’s tournament has warm-up matches before the actual game day, and these will take place on June 13 and 20 at the Uitvlugt Community Centre and Rose Hall Canje grounds respectively from 10:00 h with two matches per day, while the action will bowl off on Sunday July 4 at 09:00 h.
Entrance fees for the warm-up matches are $500 and $1 000 on July 4, with children under the age of 12 being granted free admission for both the warm-up matches and the final, where they will enjoy kid’s ride such as merry-go-round, trampolines, ride de bulls and go karts along with free ice cream for the first 300 children at the warm-up matches and the first 1 000 at the final.
Another new development in this year’s DJ Stress T20 Festival is that the governing body for cricket here in Guyana, the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB), has approved the tournament and umpires have already been selected.
