SIXTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD security guard Charles Goodluck, of Betsy Ground, East Canje, has been charged with attempted murder.
He appeared before Magistrate Omeyanna Hamilton, at New Amsterdam Court, also in Berbice, yesterday, where it was alleged that he inflicted a stab wound on Maureen Joseph, 57, with whom he had a five months relationship.
Particulars of the offence said it was committed on May 8.
The case for the prosecution is that Joseph was on guard duty at St. Aloysius Primary School, Fort Canje and Goodluck went there to seek a reconciliation with his estranged lover.
The accused was remanded to prison until May 31,
