THE two semi-finalists in the annual Mayor’s Cup Knockout Competition will be decided this Sunday at the GFC ground, Bourda, with a doubleheader that will bring an end to the quarterfinals, following a few delays due to the inclement weather. Kickoff time is 20:00 h in the feature match between BK Int. Western Tigers and Fruta Conquerors, in an all-Georgetown affair, preceded by Santos opposing Seawall FC from 18:00 h.
Over $850 000 in cash incentives, trophies and individual prizes are up for grabs compliments of Digicel, Kei-shar’s and A, H. & L. Kissoon. Mohammed’s Enterprises, RK’s Security Services, Banks DIH, DDL, Guyana Beverages Inc., MACORP and Car Care are among the major sponsors.
Meanwhile the semifinals and finals will be contested on Sunday, May 23, and Sunday May 30, 2010 respectively at the same venue.
