I am calling on the trade union leaders of both GTUC and FITUG to forget their differences and focus on a common approach to defending workers rights “United We Stand Divided We Fall”. The time has come for the trade unions to move in a new direction. We must embrace a new era of engagement based on mutual interest and mutual respect, and our work must begin now. The Bible tells us that God intervenes to bring about the rising and falling of leaders. In Daniel 2: 21 we read that “He changes times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings.”
