WHEN it comes to shared governance within any country one should consider how they can achieve a unified situation when there are various competing groups with different ideological positions. The stakeholders also need to be moderated as political leaders. This has to be taken into account for this model of governance to work, and advocates of shared governance need to present criteria for selection of stakeholders.
That has to be considered, as well as the several challenges to the notion of shared governance.  In any society many politicians would see this willingness to share power by the government as a means of gaining power through the back door and advancing their own or their party’s own agenda while foregoing the opportunity to work for the good of all concerned.  How are we going to address this and ensure that “shared governance is indeed about the rule of law and not the rule of man?”
I would be encouraged to seriously consider and lobby for shared governance if someone can suggest how we can address the challenges of this model in an intelligent way rather than being gung-ho about its introduction while blithely ignoring the many pitfalls that are lurking in the shadows.
