Controversial politician and television station owner, Chandra Narine Sharma appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court today on carnal knowledge charges. The Magistrate ordered that he be remanded to prison but his lawyers, this afternoon, are fighting to secure bail in the High Court.


Sharma, who arrived at Court in hand-cuffs, fainted in the courtroom and had to be lifted out and rushed to the hospital. More details later…
