Bulkhan does have plan to knock down projects beneficial to Amerindians

I AGREE with Dale Martindale in his letter in yesterday’s Guyana Chronicle that Janette Bulkan and the Amerindian Peoples Association have a deliberate plan to try to knock down well-meaning projects that will benefit Amerindians and other Guyanese. Can Bulkan and the APA identify three projects they have helped to develop and implement for the benefit of the indigenous people? I can’t think of any on which they have worked.
Indigenous leaders have to be very careful about those who pretend to be on their side but are more concerned about their personal agendas.
I fully agree that the APA and people like Bulkan have no constituency but they manage to convince foreign organisations to fund them, claiming that they are working on behalf of indigenous communities.
What value are these foreign funders getting for the money given to the APA and others?
Where were the APA and Bulkan all those long years when Amerindians were suffering so much under the previous government? They were very silent then but have now found their voices to come out and find fault with projects like the Low Carbon Development Strategy.
They are unpatriotic and anti-national and are among those in our midst deliberately trying to mislead Amerindian leaders and their communities.
I fully support the LCDS and am proud that it is moving ahead despite the attacks from critics like Bulkan.
