Pleased to see level of development in Guyana

AFTER leaving Guyana for greener pastures, I must say that I am surprised but pleased to see the level of development in Guyana. The Guyana I am seeing now is not the Guyana I knew some 20 years ago. I am impressed with what I see. This shows that the Government is interested in the lives of Guyanese countrywide and the successful development of the country.
The Government of Guyana is indeed making strides to show that it is determined to make Guyana’s development a total success.
Even though, Guyana is considered a third world country, the country’s development is often times played down by both persons overseas and those living in Guyana. However, development in all its forms is on the increase in Guyana.
I have been following the progress of development in Guyana and over the past few years there have been increased investments in a variety of projects that are geared to allow positive development and also offer a better standard of living for Guyanese.
The country has seen the construction of new school buildings, roads, bridges (Berbice and Takutu Bridges), hospitals, clinics and the development of new housing schemes.
There have also been strides towards better health care services and campaigns that make the Guyanese public more aware of diseases. These and many others prove that Guyana is on the verge of experiencing progress and development that would be seen and acknowledged world wide.
As Guyanese we must look at the positive developments being made in our country, instead of dwelling on the negative, it must be understood that development takes time and investments into projects that have a purpose and would later better Guyana and its citizens.
The Government of Guyana must be applauded for the time and investments placed into the country’s development. Citizens of Guyana must show more appreciation for the work the government is doing to make everyone’s life better. Kudos to the Government of Guyana!
