Cellink KidStage competition hits Linden stage with ‘great degree of enthusiasm’

REGION Ten showed a great degree of enthusiasm as Cellink KidStage hit the stage at Lichas Hall, McKenzie, Linden on March 27 when over 30 children between the ages of 4 and 14 maximised the opportunity to be auditioned to win a spot into the 9th and final preliminary round. After an intense audition segment, only 24 contestants were selected to perform for the preliminary competition which was held on the same day at 14:00 h. Vying for a spot into the quarter finals are five contestants in the 4 – 7 category, ten contestants in the 8 – 10 category and nine contestants in the 11 – 14 category. Now that the preliminaries have come to an end, Cellink KidStage will resume for the first quarter final on April 10, 2010 at 10:00 h at the Theatre Guild of Guyana.

There will be three sets of quarter finals and those successful in this segment will be moving on to the semi finals of KidStage.

Congratulations to the qualifiers from Preliminary 6, Shaunell Duesbury, Delicia George, Melissa King and Deonica Phillips and Annmarie Gomes who received G$5000 each and who will also be moving on to the quarter finals.
