Judge to rule on last challenged statement

Ogle murder case…
STATE Prosecutor Ganesh Hira yesterday completed his address in the fourth voir dire (trial within a trial) of the Ogle murder case at the Demerara Assizes and Justice Brassington Reynolds reserved his ruling for next Tuesday.
After the judge has ruled on the last challenged statement, the substantive trial is expected to begin Wednesday.
The accused, Christopher Dhanrad also known as Paul Jagnandan, Azim Khan, Vijay Rajkumar called ‘Eon’ and Kumar Seeraj nicknamed ‘Boysie’, all 17 years old, are indicted for the unlawful killing of Teddy Smith on October 24, 2004.
Since the proceedings began on January 12, the judge has given decisions in separate smaller trials surrounding the admissibility of statements attributed to three of the prisoners.
Justice Reynolds is now to decide on the attestation allegedly given by the other accused.
