GRA commended for curbing corruption

I must compliment the members of the governing board of the Guyana Revenue Authority and the Commissioner-General for putting measures in place to curb the practice of corruption in the organisation. I am pleased with the efforts made by the organisation to improve efficiency. Because of the measures put in place by the GRA, revenue collection has improved tremendously by leaps and bounds every year. Thanks to the hard working staff who I must say are conducting themselves in a very professional manner.
Some persons like to dwell on the negative, but despite the negative which is often given to the organisation it is the best organisation to do business with. However, despite the challenges you continue to do extremely well for the betterment of the country.
Some transactions that previously took a day and a half are now completed within five minutes. There are still a few elements in your organisation who do not want to see the organisation progress, since they work in collusion with some outsiders to ensure that the orgnaisation is seen in a bad light. I do hope they are soon weeded out of the system.
Last but not least, I must compliment the Commissioner-General on the progress made at the GRA during its 10th year of existence, and may you and your good and honest staff continue to keep up the good work.
