ACTORS Action Association (AAA) will be celebrating the contribution of Daphne Elaine Rogers to the national culture at the Theatre Guild Playhouse on April 4.
The event will include cocktails, video tributes and a show, starting at 19:00 h and the hosts are Rose October and Bobby Vieira, a release said.
AAA was formed in December 2009, to bring cheer to mothers of actors and actresses Jermonica Walcott, Mrs. Fraser and Mrs. Lowe, parents of the late Joel Fraser, and Mignon Lowe.
Members of the organisation include Desiree Edghill, Margaret Lawrence, Neaz Subhan, Nazim Hoosein, Sheron Cadogan-Taylor, Jennifer Thomas, Russell Lancaster, Ron Robinson and Simone Dowding.
Announcing that tickets for Sunday’s cocktail and show cost $2,500 each, the organisers said all the proceeds will go to Ms. Rogers.
Meantime, they said they are grateful for the support given by Mr. Vic Insanally, Impressions, Claire Goring, Nigel’s Supermarket, Village Couture, Negla Brandis, Timeless Treasures and Sterling Optical.
