Addressing R Trim's selection committee concerns

AS AN independent sports observer of the dailies, I hope to continue using it’s forum to acknowledge those sports ambassadors that make representation for all of us with their dedication and commitment during their competitive meetings on the international circuit.
I chose this route because it’s my way of appreciation, and we can’t, on many occasions, be in person to cheer on those persons.

Nicolette Fernandes is one such ambassador that was victorious in claiming the 2009 Greece Squash Tournament, and has been making strides in moving up the world rankings.
I would want to believe that the local selection committee uses these points for the deliberation and selection process.
I hope the above will be informative for Mr R.Trim’s concerns in his SN publication, dated 2.18.2010, and it will be fair reading for the selection committee to educate the public on the process of transparency.
I say to Nicolette Fernandes and all other sports ambassadors, I will continue to be a loyal supporter, and keep being optimistic that Guyanese sports ambassadors have got the ability to train, perform and stand on the Olympic or World Championship’s podium.
It’s only a matter of time, and until then, just keep pushing the envelope and I am also an advocate of clean sports.
