THE Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA has announced that Employers’ Returns (Forms 2) for the year ending 2009-12-31 must be submitted on or before February 28, 2010.
The following information must be included on the Form 2:
* Full name, address and Taxpayer identification number of each employee
* The period of employment
* Total payments made in respect of salaries, wages, overtime, bonuses, incentives, commissions, allowances leave with pay etc
* The amount of taxes deducted from each employee.
The return which is prepared in triplicate and submitted in duplicate must be accompanied by the Summary Sheet (2B) and the signed declaration form.
The Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) allows each employee to be coded in the GRA system, so that the tax deducted from their earnings by their employer can be credited to their individual account when it is paid over to the Authority.
Failure to submit returns without the above information would result in the rejection of the returns, GRA said.
Employers Returns must be submitted by February 28
