I got very angry with God after the earthquake in Haiti.
I confronted God and said to Him,
“I have a question to ask You and I want an answer”.
“OK,” God replied, and continued, “I also want to ask you a question and I want an answer.”

“Please do,” I responded.
“Why did it take you so long to accept that the people of Haiti are your brothers and sisters and that they need your help?”

I did not expect this question. I was stumped.
I managed an answer, “I do not know…I can’t explain…I do not have an answer”.

God was walking away. I shouted my question at Him:
“Why did you allow the earthquake to happen and killed and injured so many people?”

God turned and watched me straight in the eye.
“Why do you think we are having this conversation?” He queried.
Then He added, “I needed to get your attention”.
