There have been no new developments in the case of 29-year-old Nicholas Hoyte who was the victim of a drive by-shooting and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital at approximately 20:30h Tuesday.

This was according to Mr. Ivelaw Whittaker, Police Public Relations Officer.

Hoyte, of 54 Fifth Street, Alberttown, arrived at the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds about the body.

Reports are that on his way from his sister’s house in Alberttown, a white car pulled up next to his vehicle and one of the occupants discharged several rounds.

The white car then sped away leaving an injured Hoyte whose vehicle was later taken to the Alberttown Police Station.
